Fifth Annual Clara Lemlich Awards
LaborArts and the Triangle Fire Coalition will host the fifth annual Clara Lemlich Awards on Monday, May 4, 2015, 6:30-8:30 pm. These awards honor unsung women activists, in the tradition of those who sparked so many reforms in the aftermath of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire.
The awards will be distributed at the Puffin Gallery for Social Activism, Museum of the City of New York, 1220 Fifth Avenue at 103rd Street.
The event is free and open to the public, but you must RSVP to info@laborarts.org. See LaborArts.org for information about previous honorees, and see their flyer for more information!
LaborArts and the New York Labor History Association are pleased to cosponsor a showing of the 2014 documentary Cartoonists–Footsoldiers of Democracy (Les Caricaturistes: Fantassins de la Démocratie).
