NYLHA Conference: The Attack on Public Workers

The New York Labor History Association is proud to present a labor history month conference on the Attack on Public Workers, a panel discussion featuring Henry Garrido, Associate Director of DC 37, and Emil Pietromonaco, the Secretary of the United Federation of Teachers, moderated by Gene Carroll, the Co-Director of the New York State AFL-CIO/Cornell Union Leadership Institute.  The conference will be held at 52 Broadway, 19th Floor.  Light refreshments will be served.

Remember the Triangle Fire!

The 103rd Official Commemoration of the Triangle Fire has been scheduled.  On Tuesday, March 25, from 12-1, observers will gather at the site of the fire, Washington Place and Greene Street, to remember the tragic deaths of the 146 workers who perished in the fire that broke out at the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire.  For more information, see the Remember the Triangle Fire Coalition’s website, here.  You can also download their official poster.
