The 103rd Official Commemoration of the Triangle Fire has been scheduled. On Tuesday, March 25, from 12-1, observers will gather at the site of the fire, Washington Place and Greene Street, to remember the tragic deaths of the 146 workers who perished in the fire that broke out at the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire. LaborArts, the wonderful labor cultural/history organization and the Triangle Fire Coalition are holding their fourth annual Clara Lemlich awards on April 2, 2014, 6:00-8:00 p.m. The honorees are Barbara Bailey, Marilyn Frankenstein, Jane Kalmus, Judy Lerner, Joan Levine, Sarah Martin, and Agnes Wong. The award ceremony will be at the Puffin Gallery for Social Activism at the Museum of the City of New York.
