Join the EWOC – NYLHA Book Club
We are very pleased to announce that the EWOC – NYLHA reading group is returning this fall. We hope that you all had a wonderful summer and are ready to dive back into some labor history! This group is the perfect way to stay connected with the labor movement through the joint participation of EWOC leaders, volunteers and NYLHA members. It provides a great venue to explore labor history with your union sisters and brothers at this critical time for the labor movement and our country.
Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, October 15 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Online or location to be determined.
The meeting dates and times for the Fall 2025 are: 6:30pm-8:30pm on October 15, November 12, and December 17. (Note: We moved the sessions to mid-week to make the group more accessible to those who are not available on the weekends.)
Please complete the form below and select the book you are most interested in reading no later than Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025.
The three options are:
- Ravenswood: The Steelworkers’ Victory and the Revival of American Labor by Tom Juravich & Kate Bronfenbrenner
- The American Revolution: Pages from a Negro Worker’s Notebook by James Boggs
- The Supreme Court on Unions: Why Labor Law is Failing American Workers by Julius G. Getman
We hope to see you all at our first meeting and look out for an email from us on or before October 11 with more information.
